Vintage Lane Fire



Crews from the Douglas Forest Protective Association and Myrtle Creek Rural Fire Department responded to a barn fire Monday, May 31 located approximately 4 miles northwest of Myrtle Creek, near Vintage Lane. Upon arrival to the incident at approximately 11:45 AM, firefighters reported that the barn was fully involved and had spread to about a quarter acre of wildland fuels adjacent to the structure. The Vintage Lage Fire burned a half-acre of grass and blackberry briars before the forward spread of the fire was stopped. The barn was a total loss, but no injuries were reported. Crews remained on scene of the incident until 2:00 PM, mopping up hot spots and securing control lines.


Additional personnel and resources from Winston – Dillard Fire Department, Tri-City Rural Fire Department, Riddle Rural Fire Department, and Canyonville – South Umpqua Rural Fire Department assisted with the Vintage Lane Fire.
