PUBLIC SAFETY MESSAGE

As you celebrate the Fourth of July, remember that fireworks are prohibited on all lands protected by the Douglas Forest Protective Association (DFPA), including private, county, state, Bureau of Indian Affairs, and BLM-managed lands within the Douglas District. One spark can ignite dry grass or timber and quickly become a dangerous wildfire, threatening lives, homes, and natural resources. Leave fireworks to professional displays, celebrate responsibly, and help protect our forests and communities. Fireworks and forests don't mix. Prevent the spark, protect what matters, Keep Oregon Green.

For more information, visit www.dfpa.net or call the office at (541) 672-6507, excluding federal holidays.

The administrative offices of DFPA will be closed to the public Friday, July 3, 2026.
