Marshall's Place Fire - Thursday Update

Firefighters continue to make good progress on the Marshall’s Place Fire, which is now 80% contained. 95 firefighters, four water tenders, two engines, and one bulldozer are assigned to the incident today, working to extinguish the smoking and smoldering materials within the interior of the fire. With increased containment levels, night shift resources have been scaled back to a two-engine patrol of the fire.

More accurate mapping of the Marshall’s Place Fire was conducted Wednesday afternoon and determined that the incident burned 220 acres. No additional growth has occurred since early Wednesday morning when containment lines were completed around the perimeter of the fire.
