The Douglas Forest Protective Association employs roughly 165 seasonal
firefighters during the course of fire season. Jobs range from Wildland
Firefighter Specialist (18
years and older), Crew Foreman, Dispatchers
and Detection persnonnel. The hiring process takes place during the off season, primarily
