DFPA APPROVED CAMPGROUNDS
| Open
fires, including campfires, debris burn piles, incinerators, charcoal
fires and warming fires are prohibited under DFPA's Regulated Use
Closure. When a Regulated Use Closure goes into effect, these types of
fires are no longer allowed on all DFPA protected lands. Campfires are
allowed in DFPA approved campgrounds (see list below). Liquefied bottled
fuels are allowed (propane barbecues).

Putting Out Your Campfire 1) Drown the fire with water. 2) Stir the coals with a shovel. 3) Drown the fire with water a second time. 4) Separate the wood with a shovel, while keeping it in the fire pit area.
NEVER LEAVE ANY CAMPFIRE UNATTENDED. PUT ALL FIRES OUT BEFORE LEAVING THE CAMPSITE OR RETIRING FOR THE NIGHT. |
